Healing Spirits Farm School
Come and spend five days getting dirty on the farm. Learn about the planting, harvesting, drying, and weeding of medicinal herbs.
The program provides practical experience for individuals who value common sense and introduces them to the operations of an organic herb farm.
Our mission is to cultivate organic farmers and eaters. We believe strongly in the elimination of deadly pesticides, herbicides, and chemical fertilizers, and the maintenance of healthy living soil.
The days are varied, active and pleasant, but each individual is expected to take on new responsibilities and be willing to work hard and long, possibly to get wet, hot or cold and dirty. It is real work that needs to be done. It is not a vacation.
The benefits received by the apprentices include training and experience unattainable any other way, making new friends and incredible memories. Our beautiful rural setting provides an ideal environment for developing a lifestyle in touch with the land. The lessons learned will last a lifetime.
Cost: $500 (includes farm house accomodations and meals)
Classes can be scheduled on weekdays at your convenience during the growing season.

An extraordinary opportunity to learn the art of bread and sweet roll baking while staying at Button's Creekside Farm Bed & Breakfast , an 1850's rambling farmhouse on a working farm. Arrive the evening before to tour the farm and take a walk down a country lane. Bread making classes begin in the morning, immediately following a scrumptious down-on-the-farm breakfast. After a light lunch we'll go a mile down the road to Healing Spirits Herb Farm and Education Center, where you'll learn how to make your own herbal tea, sample different blends and go home with your own special mix.
There is a minimum of 4 (maximum of 8) per class, so talk to your friends & relatives and plan a fantastic Culinary and Herbal Experience at the farms. COST: $200 includes both classes, tours, one night lodging at the Button's Creekside Farm and breakfast & lunch. Dinner will be on your own at local restrauants.
