Mullein Root,  is incredibly useful. It tones and strengthens the bladder's trigone sphincter, treating urinary incontinence, recurring bladder infections, and interstitial cystitis. It should be combined with pelvic floor exercises and bladder astringents. Like the flower, the root treats facial and spinal nerve pain (e.g., Bell's Palsy). Most importantly, mullein root facilitates "proper alignment" of the structural system, especially spinal misalignment and disc injuries. It can be a crucial component in formulas for restoring strength and integrity to discs and connective tissues. Its aligning energy comes from the plant's first-year growth. The root may also assist with esoteric needs for focus.
